NCASRO Mission Statement~
To provide a supportive and educational network to the School Resource Officers in North Carolina and beyond, with the common goal of protecting every child so they can reach their fullest potential in a safe learning environment.

NCASRO is a non-profit organization that helps put the needed tools in the hands of today's SROs. SROs work to reduce school violence by enforcing violations of the law occurring on school property, by informing students of the dangers of substance abuse, by introducing programs that will promote and enhance acceptable social behavior, and by serving as positive role models.

NCASRO President Shane Woodall

Greetings Everyone,
My name is Shane Woodall and I’m a deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. I’ve been in law enforcement for 21 years. I started my law enforcement career in 1993 as a telecommunicator with the North Carolina Highway Patrol in Greensboro. I went to BLET in 1998 and then joined the Sheriff’s Office in 1999 as a patrol deputy. I was a patrol deputy for five years and then was assigned as the SRO at McMichael High School and I’ve enjoyed every day of it.
I was elected to the board as the Region 5 rep in 2009 and in April of 2013 I was appointed to Vice President due to Lt. Todd O’Neal having to take over as President due to the resignation of the current President at that time. I will be serving as your President at the 2015-2016 Conferences, which will be held at Sea Trails Resort in Sunset Beach.
With Sincere Thanks,
Shane Woodall
